Student Emergency Funds

A financial emergency can happen to anyone at any time.

These circumstances may prevent a Washburn student from attending classes, or if severe, continuing to seek their degree.

To help these students, two organizations have set up funds to benefit students who find themselves in challenging circumstances. Ichabods Moving Forward is a new student-led philanthropic organization under Washburn University Alumni Association and Foundation. We provide an opportunity for students to help fellow Ichabods through difficult times by creating an emergency assistance fund for students and by students.

The Student Advocacy Support fund has been set up by Counseling Services and the University Campus Advocate to help students in abusive relationships or other unhealthy situations. Students may fear that if they leave their abusive partner, they may no longer have the financial means to afford their education and living expenses for them and the family members they support.
