Chemistry Department

The Washburn University Chemistry Department offers courses in all of the major chemistry fields, which are taught by experts in those areas. The department is certified by the American Chemical Society (ACS) and offers majors in biochemistry, chemistry, and forensic chemical science. Students have access to modern instrumentation and can collaborate with faculty in undergraduate research.

Gifts to the Chemistry Department Program Fund help with the purchasing of supplies and equipment for the laboratories, research opportunities for students and faculty, and student scholarships, just to name a few thing. A robust department fund means more educational opportunities for students now and in the future.
