Dept. of Social Work

Social workers strive to make a difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities. These dedicated professionals care about people and communities in need and help them to achieve their goals. Partnering with individuals, families, and/or communities to find solutions to challenges and working to improve living and working conditions are the hallmarks of the social work profession. The bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in social work at Washburn are nationally accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, and graduates consistently have success in acquiring rewarding jobs in local, regional, and national social service agencies.
