With 2024 being the 100th anniversary of the Mulvane Art Museum, we invite you to consider supporting the rich heritage that is the art museum with a gift on Day of Giving to help us grow our endowment. Your gift will enhance the cultural experience of Topeka and the broader art community.
During this milestone year, we find ourselves reflecting with deep gratitude on the extraordinary journey that has brought us here. The Mulvane Art Museum’s centennial celebration is a testament to the enduring commitment to our mission and to the support from our community. The Mulvane Art Museum is, and always has been, a space where people come together to create and appreciate the arts while on a transformative journey of learning. This vision allows the community to engage with the arts, explore diverse creative expressions and enrich their understanding of the world through artistic experiences.
Over the past century, our exhibitions and programs have engaged children, young adults, artists, scholars, historians and art lovers. They come to the art museum to:
• Explore and create in the Art Lab
• Look and reflect on the creative spirit and output of artists from around the world
• Engage in cultural conversations with artists, filmmakers, scholars, faculty and community members
• Experience and share in the transformative power of the arts
Your gift will help us continue offering these experiences and maintain and grow our collection of more than 6,000 works of art.
Later this spring, we look forward to reopening the doors of the Mulvane Art Museum following renovations, and we hope you'll join us in celebrating the future of art on Washburn's campus.
