Dancing Blues

The Washburn University Dancing Blues are an integral part of Washburn spirit. Serving as the university dance team, the Dancing Blues perform at home football games, women's and men's basketball games, and NCAA tournament games. They appear at university, and community events as well as compete at the national level.

In the 2022-2023 school year, the Dancing Blues fundraised their way to the DTU College Classic Invitational in Orlando, Florida. This is highly competitive national competition. The Dancing Blues finished in 4th in hip hop and 5th in jazz. The team is planning to return to the competition this April.

The Washburn Dancing Blues participates in many fundraisers each year to compete at the DTU National Dance competition. The funds support the travel, registration, costumes, and stay for our team members.

Our team appreciates all the support we are given by friends, family, alumni, faculty and staff. Our success would be limited without your generosity, and we credit you for making it possible to reach our goal.

Thank you and GO BODS!
