IMA Student Leadership Conference

The Washburn Institute of Management Accountants and the School of Business want to send six accounting, finance or data analytics students to the national IMA Student Leadership Conference. The 2024 conference will be Nov. 7-9 in Anaheim, California.

Students hear keynote speakers on current topics in accounting, finance and technology and they participate in workshops in leadership, career development and successful transitions from college to work. Students network with professionals and other business students and bring back knowledge and skills to take their places as leaders on campus.

Three Washburn students attended in 2022 using prior Day of Giving funds and money from the Washburn Student Government Association. Your gift on Day of Giving can help give six students this valuable experience. Travel will be about $1,250 per student including registration, transportation, lodging and meals for a total of $7,500. Since WSGA allocates $3,000 to student organizations each year, our Day of Giving project goal is $4,500.
