The sociology and anthropology department at Washburn teaches students how to think deeply and analytically about society and culture and how to succeed in a complex, dynamic and diverse world. Department students work with local organizations to address community needs, conduct original research, study abroad and explore sites of historical and cultural importance.
Our students go on to careers in social services, nonprofits, human resources, medical examiners' offices, museums, higher education administration, cultural resource management and more.
Your support will help us offer scholarships to high-achieving students from each of the three programs, allowing them to realize their professional and academic potential.
