Religious Studies: Thomas L. King Lecture
Remembering Barry Crawford

For almost 40 years, Barry Crawford used his grit, determination and personal charisma to attract world-renowned scholars to Washburn's campus to deliver the Thomas L. King Lecture in Religious Studies. He passed away in March of 2022. One of the best ways we could pay tribute to him is by raising the funds to ensure that the King Lecture can continue to attract top-flight speakers. Previous lecturers have included Walter Brueggemann, Jacob Neusner, Martin Marty, John Dominic Crossan, Huston Smith, Wendy Doniger, Bart Ehrman, Peter Gomes, and Eva Morczek.

Your gift on Day of Giving will allow us to offer speakers a more generous honorarium for coming to our campus.

Please save the date for a lecture by Dr. Robyn Faith Walsh: March 2, 2023. For more information visit - https://www.washburn.edu/academics/college-schools/arts-sciences/departments/philosophy-religious-studies/king-lecture.html
