African American & African Diaspora Minor

The African American and African diaspora studies minor exposes undergraduates to African American and African history and culture through an interdisciplinary approach. At the same time, the AAADS minor actively promotes campus dialogue where students can analyze issues of race, power and social justice from an informed perspective. The AAADS minor and affiliated faculty, staff and students are engaged in creating a campus and community climate of inclusion and respect.

Your Day of Giving gift to the AAADS enhancement fund will fund student scholarships, faculty professional development, opportunities for community engagement and general program support to strengthen this essential minor program. African American and African diaspora studies prepares Ichabods to contribute to the creation of a more socially just world, an effort we can all support and benefit from.
