A master of arts degree in communication and leadership helps graduates become collaborative and innovative leaders who demonstrate effective communication skills, self-awareness and strategic thinking. The program is built on the knowledge that excellent communication is the foundation of extraordinary leadership. The courses provide students the knowledge, skills and experiences for continuous self and system improvement. Washburn University is excited to offer this program entirely online to meet the demands of those in the workforce looking to enhance their education.
Currently, the master of communication and leadership program offers no financial assistance to students. Graduate student tuition is nearly double the cost of traditional undergraduate tuition, and many of our students are working professionals who cannot afford the high rates. As such, as a first step to helping with this issue, we are starting a scholarship fund to help students pay for classes and fees. Your Day of Giving gift to this fund will help students enhance their communication and leadership skills at a master's level as they become the next leaders in our society.
