SkillsUSA is a national organization that improves the quality of America’s workforce through a structured program of citizenship, leadership, employability and technical and professional skills training. Students compete on the state and national levels in 114 skilled trades and leadership competitions. The SkillsUSA championship is the nation's largest hands-on workforce development event for middle school, high school and college/postsecondary students enrolled in career and technical education programs. Washburn Tech sends students to the state and national competition annually and last year had the largest contingent of students of any institution in Kansas that qualified to compete at the national championship competition, which was held in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2024, Washburn Tech's quiz bowl team earned the bronze medal at the national SkillsUSA championship and many other students placed in the top 20 in the nation. We would appreciate your support towards funding Washburn Tech's SkillsUSA Chapter.
