The School has embarked on the process of offering a BBA Concentration, minor, and certificate in Business Data Analytics, a new specialty that is changing the way businesses research and answer questions. This fund will provide learning & teaching resources to assist faculty as they offer these courses.
Examples of needed technologies include:
• Database server to host a relational database for students learning to program in Structured Query Language (SQL) for using contents of business enterprise databases including Big Data sources.
• Text analysis tools for studying business textual unstructured data (English document content, emails, text messages, social media, etc.)
• Sensor devices and software to support Internet of Things (IoT) exercises for students to learn about gathering and analyzing remote device and sensor data.
