Political Science Study Abroad

The political science department believes in the vital importance of Washburn students being transformed by studying abroad and currently has short-term programs in Cuba, Japan and Europe. Many students cannot afford the total cost of a program so the department strives to provide students with a $500 study abroad scholarship to enable them to participate. For many students this scholarship is the factor that enables them to participate in the study abroad program. From June 5 through June 16, 2022, 22 students will be traveling to Europe. Our hope is to help each student with $700 in assistance. Supporting student scholarships for political science study abroad programs helps students attain academic success and changes lives. The experience can be transformational on their education and future careers.
