Law Building (Dole Plaza)

The Washburn University School of Law is looking to the future to ensure students are thriving, graduating, and passing the bar at exceptionally high rates, and faculty and programs are making an indelible mark on students. To accomplish this, we have bold goals in mind and are working to build a new building to reflect 21st century learning and technology.

The Washburn University board of regents approved a project budget of $33 million for the new building on the southwest corner of campus. The University commitment remains at $20 million, with the balance to be raised by the Washburn University Alumni Association and Foundation. To date, the Foundation’s Ideal Place fundraising campaign has generated more than $10 million from over 1,200 generous alumni and friends. We will build on this momentum to drive continued fundraising success, with an objective to surpass the remaining $3 million needed for the project.
